Farm to School: Routing Your Food

Did you know your apple might have taken a super long trip before it reached your school? Most food travels a whopping 1,500 miles to reach your plate. That’s like running 6,000 laps around the school track!

When we eat food grown nearby, we help save energy and keep our planet healthy. It’s like giving our planet a big, green hug! Let’s grow amazing food right here at school — every carrot we plant and apple we eat is a step towards a healthier planet.
